Sickness Absence Management

Absence can have a significant impact on productivity whether it is work related or non work related. Occasionally we have cases where it is difficult to distinguish between them but generally we employ processes which help us differentiate between the two.

Managing Absence effectively, reduces absenteeism overall, becomes less costly and encourages a healthier workforce.

Sickness and absence can be short term (up to 3 months) medium term (3 to 6 months) or long term (6 months or more) and even sporadic (frequent short term absences).

Once it has been established that an employee may have continuing long term ill health we can help the employer come to the most cost effective decision for the business and help you decide whether or not to support that absence further.

Managing absence also allows us to assist the employee with duty of care responsibilities under the DDA Act and Health and Safety at Work Act.

It is vital that absence is managed quickly and effectively to limit the impact it can have on your business. During case management we aim to identify barriers and obstacles that may prevent a return to work and agree an action plan with all parties on how to best move the case forward.

Case management can take place on site or remotely when the latter is more appropriate to the case.
